Western Red Cedar Soundboard (CJ17)
Western Red Cedar is a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building sound boards for acoustic guitars. It has a tone that many call rich and wet. Our Western Red Ceder is recovered from the salvage of old growth trees with growth ring counts from 35 to 50 rings per inch.
Western Red Cedar is a great tone wood for acoustic guitar soundboards. This piece showcases straight grain, good color and contrast.
There is a book matched piece 0.17 x 7 3/4 x 23 1/4".
Photos are taken two ways. The first to show what the finished instrument will look like and the second photo is dry to show what the wood will look like when it arrives.
