Stabilized Maple Pen Blanks Blue (AF38)
Maple is not only a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building acoustic guitars, ukuleles, and tops for electric guitars. We recover our Maple on the Southern Oregon Coast where the variety of soil types can add color to your pens. The wood has unmatched qualities and easy workability. It will make high quality pens. We personally recover most of our trees from logging site where the trees were being sent to chip mills. The areas that the trees are removed from are replanted with new trees making this a very eco-friendly and sustainable guitar wood. The cool wet air of the Oregon Coast makes the perfect environment for slow consistent growth of instrument quality wood. We personally stabilize our Maple wood for your pen blanks.
Kiln Dried and Stabilized Blue
There are ten pen blanks that are a minimum of 0.80” x 0.80” x 5 ¼”.
Our photos are taken two ways. The first to show what the finished pen will look like and dry to show what the wood will look like when it arrives. The blanks you see in the photo are the ones you receive.
