Quilted Maple Solid Body Guitar Top (KC95)

Big Leaf Maple is a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building acoustic guitars, ukuleles, and tops for electric guitars.   It has a tone that enhances most any electric guitar it is matched with.  We recover our Maple on the California and Southern Oregon Coast where the variety of soil types can add color and contrast to your guitar.  The wood has unmatched qualities, easy workability, and sustained tap tones. It will make high quality solid body instruments. We personally recover most of our trees from logging sites where the trees were being sent to chip mills.  The areas that the trees are removed from are replanted with new trees making this a very eco-friendly and sustainable guitar wood.  The cool wet air of the Oregon Coast makes the perfect environment for slow consistent growth of instrument quality wood.  We air dry our Maple wood for at least three years.   

There are two book matched pieces 0.27 x 9 x 23 5/8”.

Our photos are taken two ways.  The first to show what the finished instrument will look like and dry to show what the wood will look like when it arrives.
