Pistachio Urn with Maple Cross (AA53)
Pistachio has long been considered one of the most beautiful woods. We started reclaiming and using Pistachio wood in 2002. The wood has unmatched qualities that will make great acoustic or electric instruments. We personally recover trees that have become unproductive in the orchards of the San Joaquin Valley. When a tree becomes unproductive it is removed and a young tree is replanted making this Pistachio a very eco-friendly and sustainable wood. The trunks size is small. The graft ling between the root stock and fruit wood can be very unique. All of our urns are hand sanded to 2000 grit creating the fine surface for finishing. We apply multi coats of food grade oil by hand to bring out the natural beauty and luster of this wood. The final step is hand buffing.
We hope this urn helps to bring closure to you and your family. We thank you for allowing one of our handmade urns to be the final resting place and honor to your loved one.
This urn features a carved sides. One of our signature Maple crosses is inlaid in the lid.
The urn is 10 inches wide and 6 ½ inches deep and 6 ½ inches tall with our carved sides. The capacity is about 230 pounds.
