Claro Walnut Electric Solid Body, Excellent Color and Contrast, Orchard Recovery – Eco Friendly (GA21)

Claro Walnut is an exceptional and unique wood for luthiers to use in building guitars.  We started reclaiming and using Claro Walnut wood in 1970’s.  The wood has unmatched qualities that will make great acoustic or electric instruments. We personally recover trees that have become unproductive in the orchards of the San Joaquin Valley.  When a tree becomes unproductive it is removed and a young tree is replanted making this Walnut a very eco-friendly and sustainable guitar wood.  The trunks range in size from small to large.  These trees have a Claro Walnut root stock and is grafted to an English Walnut fruiting wood.  The graft ling between the two varieties can be very unique.  We air dry our Claro Walnut wood for at least three years.   

Claro Walnut is a great tone wood for electric guitar. 

There is one piece 1.80 x 13.0 to 17 1/2 x 23 to 24".  Note: checks and voids.

Photos are taken two ways.  The first to show what the finished instrument will look like and then dry to show what the wood will look like when it arrives.
