Ohia Acoustic Guitar Back and Sides, Standard Size (CI78)
Ohia is a wood steeped in Hawaiian culture. It is rare that we offer any wood that we have not personally recovered. This Ohia came out of a luthiers wood supplier’s shop and we believe it to have been cut from wind fall trees after a hurricane hit the islands about fifteen to twenty years ago. It is air dried. The wood is very dense and finishes with a high polish. At one time the wood could only be used for Hawaiian royalty.
The first photo is taken wet to show what your finished piece will look like and the second photo is taken dry.
