Claro Walnut Archtop Guitar Back and Sides (CE35)

Sold out
$375.00

Claro Walnut is not only a beautiful wood for luthiers to use in building acoustic guitars and ukuleles it has a tone that enhances most any top it is matched with.  We recover our Walnut from orchards in the San Joaquin Valley of California.  The growers will mark unproductive trees at harvest.  These trees are removed in the fall and new seedlings are planted.  This keeps the orchard in production.  The wood has unmatched qualities, easy workability, and sustained tap tones. It will make high quality acoustic instruments. We personally recover from the growers we work with.  This a very eco-friendly and sustainable guitar wood. We air dry our Walnut wood for at least three years.

Walnut is a great tone wood for guitar back and sides.  One of our back and sides sets will match up very well with our Port Orford Cedar tops.

This piece showcases excellent figure, color and contrast.

There are two book matched pieces 0.86 x 9 1/4 x 26" and two book matched pieces 0.16 x 4 3/4 to 5 x 35 5/8″.

Our photos are taken two ways.  The first to show what the finished instrument will look like and dry to show what the wood will look like when it arrives.
