Myrtle Urn Handmade (AA41)

Sold out
$275.00

Myrtle is a very unique and beautiful wood.  The trees only grow in Oregon and Northern California.  Colors can run the rainbow and the figure can be stunning. This Urn is carved from this prized wood.  Myrtle is also an exceptional and unique wood for luthiers to use in building guitars and ukuleles.  We personally recover most of our Myrtle trees from logging sites where the trees were being sent to chip mills.  The areas that the trees are removed from are replanted with new trees making this a very eco-friendly and sustainable wood.  All of our urns are hand sanded to 2000 grit creating the fine surface for finishing.  We apply multi coats of food grade oil by hand to bring out the natural beauty and luster of this wood.  The final step is hand buffing.

We hope this urn helps to bring closure to you and your family.  We thank you for allowing one of our handmade urns to be the final resting place and honor to your loved one.

This urn features straight sides.  One of our signature Walnut crosses is inlaid in the lid.

The urn is 9 ½ inches wide and 6 inches deep and 6 ½ inches tall with our carved sides.  The capacity is about 230 pounds.
