Douglas Fir and Myrtle Three Piece Neck (GI53)

$59.00

Many luthiers use multi piece necks for added strength and appearance.  When glued the neck is very stable.  Many of the neck woods are recovered from the salvage of old growth trees with growth ring counts from 35 to 50 rings per inch.

There are three pieces yielding 2 3/4 x 4 x 23 3/4” when glued together.  This is made up from two book matched pieces of Douglas Fir 1.3 x 4 x 23 3/4” and one piece of Myrtle 0.27 x 4 x 23 3/4”.

Photos are taken two ways.  The first two photos show what the finished instrument will look like and the third photo is dry to show what the wood will look like when it arrives.
